Just a reminder that the 5th
Marlin Coast Challenge is now only 2 months away and it’s
gearing up to be another great event so I hope you’ve locked
in Saturday 20th October 2012. This year I’m confident that
I’m in sync with the weather gods... it was quite bizarre
last year!! All part of the challenge though!!
We’re starting a little bit earlier this year with the
Briefing at 10.15am at Ellis Beach. This gives everyone time
to get their canoes in the water and to the start line for a
10.45am start on the dot!
Chris Maynard & Todd Cohen are returning and will be our
special guests at the Sunday morning breakfast clinic at the
Combined Club. Great venue and excellent value breaky! And a
pair of Maui Jim sunnies to be won too!
All our sponsors have come onboard again including the Court
House Hotel which has just been sold but the new owner has
committed to the Marlin Coast Challenge which is fantastic.
We’ve got some great merchandise from Maui Jim to give out
including 4 pairs of Maui Jim sunnies and Xylo Bladz are
donating a paddle again which is brilliant. Port Douglas
Catering will be putting on their legendry scrumptious feast
afterwards and the canoe will be full of cold beer.
Unfortunately we won’t be able to offer prize money this
year but we’ve got our gorgeous shell medals which are
definitely worth winning.
